24. 2012 – Oslo, Norway. A professional tutor and recent graduate has
created and developed the ultimate revision game app for students. This
fun, interactive, and addictive app lets students play and learn what
they need to know on the go!
The
first app (in this series) that has just been released covers
every definition you need to know for Economics. It breaks down the
complicated concepts and
definitions in a simple, understandable and fun way. To compliment the
app, there are free e-books for anyone on the website, focusing on
those who want to learn more.
You
can select what you want to study as individual chapter selection
(total of 7) covers everything from Introduction to Economics,
Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics and Trade as
well as Development. You can also shuffle all the chapters.

How
is it different?
The timed game aspect gives this educational app a fun and
competitive edge, compared to the other traditional or “boring” apps,
which are just flash cards or simply dictionary definitions.
For each wrong answer the game
adds 5 seconds to your score, for every right answer there is visual
and auditory positive reinforcment to help encourage the sense of
achievement.
The option to challenge friends
on facebook allows for an increased
sense of competition and adds to the fun factor.
After
only a few rounds of playing this game, users have understood and
learnt complicated economic concepts which would otherwise have taken
longer using traditional methods. As it is made by a recent graduate,
there is a great focus on what students want and need. For example,
being able to listen to your own music while you play, is a really
important feature.

is this suitable for?
Everyone who wants to learn in a fun way! Focusing on IB Economics (all levels), AP Economics and other High School courses. It is also useful for some University Level courses. We have
already been receiving feedback from customers around the world. One

Why
create something like this?
This is a great initiative taken by a recent graduate that knows what
it is like to be buried in books and assignments. The creator of this
app has adapted games for previous students into a mobile version. Making economics understandable
and accessible for everyone.

inspiration for this idea was my students. When I first started my BA
in Geneva, I started tutoring IB Economics part time. I started
teaching two students who were both predicted to fail. One student had
ADD and the other had dyslexia. This was a major challenge, as both
(and their teacher) had totally given up! Within two months they both
received a 5 out of 7! I created similar games (in real life) for
them, and it clearly worked.“
